Membership
A
limited number of upland memberships will be available each year.
The fee for this is will be $900 per year. This includes $600 in
bird costs at a 10% discount off our published prices to the public.
Upland members get priority when reserving a field of your choice.
Upland Members have two choices for hunts. They can hunt any of the
fields for clean-up assuming they are not otherwise reserved. This
can be conducted on any of the four upland fields for birds that are
otherwise not booked by another party. We will not have any idea how
many birds remain in our fields after other hunts and the numbers
will likely vary. There is no charge for these hunts. Nobody else
will do scratch bird hunts except our Upland Members. There will not
be any time guidelines (either morning or afternoon) and no minimum
numbers of hunters are required. Scratch hunts for Upland Members
require a call to the Preserve Manager and go hunt. OR, call and
reserve birds at least 24 hours in advance and our preserve staff
will have your field waiting.
Scratch hunts are subject to availability. But members will always
get
priority, when booking a hunt. There are no guest fees for an Upland
Member. Upland members may also stay at DelMar's Main Lodge under
the club's terms and conditions. I hope that the Upland Members also
choose to participate in the planning and execution of the overall
operation. As a club, our members have a real voice in the design
and long-term direction of the upland hunting.
All member and guests are required to sign liability waiver. The
Upland
Members will have a special Game Dinner planned during the season.
Upland members may also use designated fields for dog training
purposes
and can schedule these days just like a package hunt. Anyone dog
training
must place there own birds. We will maintain birds through the
Upland
season as well as the extended season (nine months) that our
training
permit legally allows.
Memberships are limited to first-come, first-serve and numbers will
be
limited. There is nothing like this in our area. With very special
benefits to the Upland Members, this unique arrangement will be gone
quickly and not likely to ever be open in the future. If you are a
serious upland hunter, please contact us soon since charter
memberships will never be available again.
